The Moon Underneath
The Moon Underneath (2022) is a multimedia solo dance performance by Pepper Pepper that explores shadow, failure, memory, and the artists struggle with learning to sing. This experimental work weaves interactive live-feed video, improvised pop songs, and poignant, humorous childhood stories to find power in vulnerability and moonlight. Featuring collaborator and accompanist Matt Katz, the piece was presented at Performance Works NW through the Alembic Artist-In-Residence Series with support from a project grant from the Regional Arts & Culture Council (RACC).
