Risk Reward Presents Renee's Queer Cabaret

 DIRECTED/CURATED BY: Renée Muzquiz PRODUCED BY: Risk/Reward  WHERE: Artists Repertory Theatre - Portland, Oregon WHEN: Thursday, August 30th  Hosted by Rockstar and B Movie Actress Renée Muzquiz, this “resistance variety show” defies the traditional cabaret with rock music and a focus on the intimate humor, joys and vulnerabilities of living on the LGBTQIA+ spectrum.  FEATURING SPECIAL GUESTS:  Kaj-anne Pepper  "Pepper Pepper"  Cocoa Venus    Serah   Lily Le Fauve   Nat Jacobs   Sean Abplanalp   Jay Robert Flewelling   Marla Darling  & More!  Borrowing from the B-Movie title, “The Day the Earth Stood Still,” this show will feature some of Portland’s top drag artists, comedians, musical acts and more!  Renée Muzquiz is a genre-bending singer-songwriter and actor in Portland. Curve Magazine has compared her vocals to a cross between Joni Mitchell and Tori Amos, and she has shared the stage with prominent Portland musicians Jen Conlee (Decemberists), Ritchie Young (Loch Lomond), Jeremy Wilson (Dharma Bums) and Zia McCabe (Dandy Warhols). She currently sings and plays lead guitar in Major Tomboys, her all female-identified David Bowie cover band.  Show at 7:30pm Thursday, August 30 at Artists Repertory Theatre.
