W*RQ or WWWEEERRQQQ is DECEPTiCONS dance production. Presented at Conduit Dance+ festival and Risk/Reward Festival 2012. W*RQ looks at the construction of gender through the performativity of language. From game show to word salad and wrapped up in pop music and drag antics, The DECEPTiCONS (Pepper and Carla Rossi with Cabiria Jones and Jen Hackworth) use the Queens Vernacular of the day to make the personal political and fall into fantasies, games and queer reality.
