H/D +Projects is proud to present :SHORN by Kaj-anne Pepper in collaboration with Dallas Oliver, Eric Sellers and Nandi LaSophia. Part art installation and part ritual performance, :SHORN brings together performance, video and text in an exciting collaboration sinking deep into the heart of queer identity, metamorphosis, and symbolic catharsis.
Transforming Half/Dozen Gallery into a temple, a dreamscape and a ritual stage, :SHORN combines balloon and hair sculpture into an installation by Dallas Oliver with video by Eric Sellers, text by Nandi LaSophia and live performance by Kaj-anne Pepper. Curated, developed and conceptualized by Kaj-anne Pepper, :SHORN is a work in progress living in a liminal state between memory and presence, hopes and fears, spirits and bodies.
